This 2 part series will take you along with us on our journey to rebuilding one such house into a ''Lifestyle Home". A Lifestyle Home is envisioned as a home built behind a themed designed incorporating the luxuries, facilities and amenities that makes coming home a more of an enjoyable experience. It is when practicality fuses with luxury.

In this particular series, we will look at a 30+ year old, 2 storey intermediate terrace house. Recently purchased, Nic & Wes Builders will take on the job of recreating this house into a colonial style home with a twist of modernity in it in about ten months.

With the intention of selling it after completion, this property is ideally located close to public transport, schools, market and food centres making it convenient for its owners. And being situated within a cul de sac portion of the estate, it gives a more private feel to the home.

Currently at its infant stages, the property is now in the stage of demolition of the existing structure. With a land area of 1800 sq. feet and a built up of 4000 sq. feet, it is envisioned to encompass not one, not two, not three but, six exquisite bedrooms! The master bedroom, on-suite will come complete with a walk-in wardrobe area opening up into a private open terrace.

The house will incorporate a suspended driveway creating an unusual and unique concept which will allow the use of added space below. Furthermore, the property will include an open courtyard, an indoor kitchen as well as an outdoor suspended kitchen. There will also be separated living and dinning areas including an outdoor sheltered dining area overlooking an inbuilt wading pool with a tranquil cascading water feature.

Last but not least, a luxurious entertainment area complete with a pantry, makes it great for entertaining guests on any night... not forgetting that there will be piped-in music throughout this home.

In our next instalment, its final unveiling! When the doors of this colonial inspired house will open to reveal how a concept has become reality!
